Genotoxicology

Genotoxicity testing is conducted to evaluate the potential of a chemical substance or compound to cause damage to genetic material. Genotoxicity refers to the ability of a substance to induce genetic mutations, DNA damage which can lead to chromosomal structural changes and disruptions in the mitotic apparatus, resulting in variations in chromosome number. We perform genotoxicological testing services with different endpoints and biomarkers viz., formation of mutations, chromosomal aberrations, micronuclei, DNA strand breaks and metabolic activation which are used to detect genotoxic effects. Overall, the genotoxicity testing plays a critical role in determining whether a substance may pose a risk of inducing genetic damage in humans. Positive results may trigger further testing, risk assessment, or regulatory actions to mitigate potential health hazards. We offer and continue to improve the advancements in these testing methods and technologies for the accuracy and efficiency of assessments, to contribute to the overall goal of ensuring the safety of products introduced by various industries.

Ecotoxicology

Comprehensive ecotoxicology assessment information must be provided in accordance with regulatory submission requirements for the grant of registration of chemicals, agrochemicals, biopesticides, and pharmaceuticals for humans and animals used in environmental risk, impact assessments and so forth. Ecotoxicology testing seeks to foresee pollution impacts in order to determine an appropriate cost-effective and efficient mode of action for mitigating or preventing any adverse impacts of both common and challenging (very volatile, hydrolytically unstable, low solubility, and extremely sorptive) compounds. For this, our experts in the interdisciplinary team have considerable experience with a wide range of test systems, including freshwater and marine environments, as well as vertebrate and invertebrate species. We continuously develop novel exposure systems, procedures, and culture techniques to enable customised testing strategies. Our focus on ethics and safety ensures reliable outcomes for well-informed decision-making. Come along as we expand our knowledge of ecotoxicology to preserve the environment and manage resources sustainably.
